The Election Commission of Pakistan On Monday released the notification for the appointment of returning officers and district returning officers. This statement is authentic because it is quoted by ECP. According to Dunya News these officers will be selected from bureaucracy.

A appointed returning officer play a dominant role in electoral process. His role is to make election free and fair.
Some responsibilities of RO
- Publishing the notice of election
- Printing the ballot papers
- Administering the nomination process
- Appointing Presiding officers and Poll Clerks
And many more.
Clarification about circulating schedule
Moreover, a scheduled for general election 2024 is spreading on social media by some media houses. There is no truth in this news because secretary of ECP said it is fabricated. A schedule for general election did not upload by ECP.
