Training of District Returning Officers and Returning for General Election 2024 Exclusive
The appointment process for the training of district returning officers and returning officers for the 2024 general election has started. The training of appointed officers will start on December 13, 2023. The Election Commission has completed all tasks regarding the training of these officers.
These appointed officers will be trained by senior members of the ECP. These officers will be trained for free and fair election processes, rules regarding general elections, and other executive.
There are 142 district returning officers selected for this post. Their one-day training will be given at the headquarters of four provinces. 40 DROs for Punjab, 36 DROs for KPK, 36 DROs for Baluchistan, and 30 for Sindh district returning officers are appointed.
The training for returning officers will be started at the divisional level and will be continued for two days (December 13–15). There are 441 returning officers for Punjab, 160 RO for KPK, 191 RO for Sindh, and 67 RO for Baluchistan elected. Collectively, 859 members will be trained as ROs.
